Mary Sue and Susan Help Keep Los Angeles Beautiful
Congratulations to Mary Sue and Susan on receiving a City of Los
Angeles Environmentally Friendly Business Award at the March 3, 2007
Keep Los Angeles Beautiful kick-off event. As part of the March 3, 2007
event, Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa, along with Senator Hillary Clinton,
presented Mary Sue and Susan an award “for their leadership and
outstanding contributions in the culinary industry to preserve our
environment by partnering with conservation organizations and educating
the public”.
Activities at the Keep Los Angeles Beautiful kick-off included Los
Angeles' Great American Cleanup with over 1500 project volunteers.
Results from the one-day community improvement actions: 1,129 trees
planted, 9.6 tons of trash and 1 ton of recyclables picked up, and
32,450 square feet of graffiti removed.
