UCLA Live Presents Dan Zanes and Friends
Fresh from winning a Grammy for his recent release, “Catch That
Train!”, Dan Zanes returns to Royce Hall with his brand of hip
rollicking family music. Ageless classics like “Erie Canal”, “Keep on
the Sunny Side”, and “Polly Wolly Doodle” become frolicsome tunes spiced
up by electric guitar, accordion, banjo, and penny whistle as he mixes
updated versions of blues and roots music alongside pop and
multicultural folk songs. Zanes will perform songs from “Catch That
Train!”, as well as music from “House Party”, “Family Dance”, “Rocket
Ship Beach”, and “Night Time”.
